At Your Leisure

Earlier this year Jonathan asked me to shoot his friend Tracy’s house in Mount Washington for his zine At Your Leisure. And from the moment I walked into her place I was jealous. Tracy has so much style it’s almost irritating. Because she is appears to be effortlessly cool and is also genuinely nice. It’s too much to take, really.

Things I love about her house: Most of the things in her house are from thrift stores but her home doesn’t feel cluttered or even ‘eclectic’, it feels modern, open and comfortable. The nod to 70′s folk i.e. Navajo textiles and dream catchers felt totally current. Using vintage photographs to wallpaper an entire wall in her kitchen. Her wood bathroom with rope used to tie back the shower curtain. The rocking chair in her bedroom. Her dog, Simba.

Her house was also filled with light which made my job easier. Thanks Jonathan for having me shoot such a great space and thanks to Tracy for letting us in!
