musée de la chasse et de la nature

Took a quick detour after a very long sunday lunch with the extended family (wine! for everyone! champagne aussi? pourquoi pas!) into the musée de la chasse et de la nature in the marais. It was just stunning. Outside was bright and sunny, the streets teeming with people out for a stroll. Inside it was dark and quiet, just you and the beasts.

Reminded me that I want to go to Deyrolle before I leave.

i was staring at an animal head in cafe stella in silverlake the other p.m. and experiencing both fascination and discomfort as it stared back at me!

That’s quite a menagerie! I find it kind of funny that the guns are showcases alongside the animals…guess that’s pretty fitting.

Glad to see you’re enjoying your trip, I bet a lot of us are living through you right now! The furthest I’ve been a while is Malibu :)

Did you get to Deyrolle? If not, next time you are here, let me know; Louis Albert de Broglie is a friend of mine.
