I’ve started writing a weekly piece over at cityzine on what’s ripe at the farmer’s market and normally I include a super simple recipe that just involves cutting things and not actually cooking them. Be warned, I use a slightly different voice in these posts. I guess you could say it’s my other side. the side that’s a little crass, a little bit more silly, and maybe even…offensive?

The only thing I’d add to your lovely open face sandwhich is fresh homemade pesto.

Congrats on your new food blog outlet. When it’s time to plant home-grown tomatoes there a wonderful event called “Tomatomania” where you can choose from about 50 varieties of heirloom matoes. UMI
